Protective Clear Resin Encapsulation
Because iron-nickel meteorite is naturally reactive to moisture and skin salinity, the recessed inlay channel is sealed beneath a transparent jeweler's resin barrier. Avoid prolonged water submersion or harsh solvents to preserve the seal.
Widmanstätten-Pattern Meteorite Inlay
Each slice of meteorite is acid-etched to reveal its interlocking kamacite and taenite crystal bands formed over slow cosmic cooling. Because the crystalline grain is natural, no two bands share an identical pattern.

Polycrystalline tungsten carbide provides permanent circular geometry and substantial physical heft, finished with a domed Comfort-Fit interior and micron-scale 18K Gold PVD beveled edges.
Why Wet Electroplating Fails on Hardmetals
Traditional electroplating dips metal into a chemical bath to deposit a soft gold film on the surface. Because tungsten carbide is chemically inert, standard electroplating lacks structural grip and frequently peels or flakes along high-contact bevels.
The High-Vacuum PVD Process
Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) takes place inside a high-vacuum chamber. Gold alloy targets are vaporized into energized ions and accelerated onto the substrate, forming a dense, micron-scale surface film that resists daily abrasion and oxidation.
